Irrigation Zone Map

 

Outside watering for lawns and gardens can place a significant demand on public water supplies.

Utah has 6 climate zones (excluding non-arable lands), which correspond with crop consumptive use
and annual precipitation. In northern mountains, the outside watering requirements would be quite
low (Zone 1), compared with the southern part of the state where the climate is usually very warm
(Zone 6). As a result, these use zones have different outside watering requirements
.
